Firearm Purchase Procedure for EU Citizens

Wersja w języku polskim | Česká verze

If you are not a citizen of the Czech Republic and wish to purchase a weapon from us for which you have a licence in your country, you will need to meet several requirements:

  1. Creating an order

The first step is to place an order through our e-shop.

Based on this order, we will issue a pro forma invoice, which we will send to you for payment.

If you are interested in a weapon that we do not normally offer, please contact us by email at info@defendia.cz

  1. Payment and confirmation of the pro forma invoice

Upon receipt of the pro forma invoice, it is necessary to pay 100% of the amount. The invoice must then be signed in the designated place.

Please send the signed invoice back to us, either electronically by email or by post.

  1. Prior consent to the transfer of a firearm

After receiving payment, we will ask you to provide Prior consent to transfer firearms or ammunition, issued by the police in your country.

This document must be officially translated by a court translator in the Czech Republic.

For certified translations into English, German, and Polish, we recommend:

The certified translation must be delivered physically to the store address (Zkrácená 3223/46, 700 30 Ostrava-Zábřeh), either in person or by post.

  1. Processing of the export licence

Once we receive the required document, including the official translation, we will begin the process of obtaining an export licence. This licence costs CZK 500 (paid by the buyer).

The processing time is usually approximately 30–60 days.

  1. Completion of purchase

After receiving the export licence and a scan of the signed invoice, we will inform you that the purchase can be completed. We will then arrange a date for you to collect the weapon.

We need to know the date of your arrival at the store at least 2 days in advance. We will also ask you for the following information by e-mail: type of car, registration number, border crossing you will be using, your telephone number, date of arrival and contact details of the driver, if someone else will be driving for you.

Once these requirements have been met, you can take the weapon home and register it with the relevant authority in accordance with the laws of your country.

Individual export, import or transit is only possible for weapons that are not military equipment, in accordance with Act No. 38/1994 Coll. on foreign trade in military equipment, as amended.

Military equipment includes automatic weapons (categories R1, R2), automatic weapons that have been modified to be self-loading, and originally military weapons, such as: AKM, AK47, Type 56, Sa vz.58 (CZ 858 Tactical), vz.52/57, vz.54, Sa vz.61 Scorpion, M1 Carbine, FN FAL, Barrett M99, SKS, SVT 40, etc. These weapons cannot be exported.

If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.
